Glenorchy Carols by Candlelight - Major Events Recycling

Working in conjunction with the Southern Waste Strategy Authority, BIEC and Collex Recycling, Glenorchy Carols by Candlelight organisers set up commingled recycling bins in conjunction with the annual event, as part of their recycling commitment.

Actions

Six recycling stations were strategically placed throughout the site. These were labeled to guide the public in the correct disposal of their garbage and recyclables. Public participation was monitored through the quantity of mixed recyclables collected by Collex Recycling.

Outcomes

After the event, Collex Recycling recovered 7.9kg of mixed recyclables, and 42.6kg of garbage.
