Description: The Recovery Shop is a locally owned waste minimisation business which salvages reusable material directly from the waste stream entering Glenorchy City Council's Jackson Street Waste Management Centre.

The Recovery Shop sells electrical good, furniture, collectables, building materials, bric-a-brac, gardening materials and much, much more.

The Recovery Shop is a safe and pleasant shopping environment. Staff are friendly and customer-service focussed. The Recovery Shop is the smart way to shop WHY?:

  • it generates local jobs.
  • it provides savings to Council and the community by reducing the ammount of material going to landfill - thereby extending landfill life.

The Recovery Shop features a permanent Sculpture Garden of artworks made from reusable materials.

The Recovery Shop also accepts direct drop-off reusable goods from householders, Commercial/Industrial and Construction/Demolition operators.

The Recovery Shop is owned by Recovery (Tas) Pty Ltd. Recovery is committed to the growth and professional development of the waste minimisation industry and offers a consultancy service based on over 20 years industry service.
